Ways You Can Get Healthier
God made us in HIS image and I just can't quite imagine GOD going to the gym...As Children of God, we are just too overweight. We are always so busy, seems we never have time to fix dinner and sit as a family unit around the table together. Well...Here are some tips to a healthier lifestyle! BREAKFAST...DON'T SKIP IT! Even if it's something small...(it's the booster to help wake your brain up and give you energy) LUNCH...something light, a salad, apple and peanut butter, peaches and cottage cheese...remember, don't get too full, most people when they eat and stuff themselves, they get tired but it is still better to eat more at lunch than dinner because after dinner, we have a tendency to flop on the couch and relax until bed time, not burning off those calories we had for dinner) DINNER....Well...Try not to eat meals past 6pm, put so much on your plate and that's it...get up and do the dishes, walk around the block with the kids and the dog, take a bike ride, whatever it takes...do not go back for seconds, you may have water and a light snack, a cup of unsalted popcorn, a couple of rice cakes, a handful of roasted nuts, an apple or other fresh fruit.
NEVER GO TO BED STUFFED FEELING LIKE A CANNELLONI!
Simple Couch Potato Exercises
Sit Ups
50 a night (start slow... increments of 10 and build up...make it a game to see how many you can do during commercial breaks
Walk
walk in place for 30 minute(turn on your favorite 1/2 hour show and walk in place during the show, commercials too)
Leg Swings
sit in your favorite comfy chair and swing your legs back and forth for the length of the next 1/2 hour show..LOL)
Arm Swings
put your arms out to your sides, slowly lift them up (while wrist goes up) then put them down (and wrists go down at the same time..do this the whole time the commercials are on...see how many times you can do it...remember...up and down = 1)
Arm Plunges
get your weights, hold your arms in front of you, slowly lift your arms until your hands are behind your head. This helps to get rid of those bingo wings and bat wings we all carry around...LOL
use weights for the arm exercises...don't have any...improvise...use canned goods, books or even 2 empty gatorade bottles (filled with water)...it works and it is 2 pounds!
