The Greek meaning of the word "BIBLE" means "BOOKS".   What we read in the Bible is the truth because the words are inspired by GOD.  The word "INSPIRED" means "BREATHED".  The word "SCRIPTURE" means "WHATEVER IS WRITTEN DOWN".  Since the Bible is nothing but scriptures, all scripture is given as meaning "inspiration of GOD."  Everything that has been written in GOD's book has been "GOD BREATHED"!  (2Peter 1:20-21 says:  "But you need to realize that no one alone can understand any of the prophecies in the Scriptures.  The prophets did not think these things up on their own, but they were guided by the Spirit of God." CEV)  The Bible consists of 66 small books combined into one big book.  It is divided into two sections.  "The Old Testament" and "The New Testament".  The word "TESTAMENT" means "AGREEMENT".   It was originally written in three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek by 40 different authors and it took them over 1600 years to complete.  GOD says HIS book is PROFITABLE (useful), for DOCTRINE (teaching) for REPROOF (showing us when we are wrong) for CORRECTION (showing us how to make the wrong..right) and for INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS (showing us how to continue doing right).  The Bible is our "Guidebook" for living.   The Bible begins with the true story of creation of the UNIVERSE.  The Israelite's are the decedents of Abraham.  The gospel is the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose 3 days later.   Jesus returned to Heaven to live with Our Heavenly Father, 40 days after His resurrection.    REMEMBER:  THE WILL OF GOD WILL NEVER TAKE YOU WHERE THE GRACE OF GOD WILL NOT PROTECT YOU!

 WHY DOES GOD TELL US NO!

Sometimes He answers "NO" because He knows we need our physical and mental rest, as well as our spiritual rest.  He knows we need to cultivate relationships of family, friends, church, and those in the world He is drawing near to Him, through us.  So, here again, God knows what is best for us!  This does not we can't pray and ask Him questions or intercede for others during these other times.
